Job Title: Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Designer
Job Summary: As an Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Designer, you will play a key role in the design and development of systems that monitor and control engineering processes, machinery, and equipment. Working under direct supervision, you will collaborate with BIM designers and engineers to create precise engineering drawings, ensuring alignment with client standards and safety guidelines. Your expertise in CAD drafting tools and design principles will be essential in producing high-quality layouts for control panels, cabinet layouts, and related equipment. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with BIM designers and engineers to assist in the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, following provided sketches and redline markups.
Utilize 2D CAD tools to create and support drawing layouts, ensuring precision and adherence to project requirements.
Design equipment for monitoring and controlling engineering systems, machinery, and processes, including control panels and cabinet layouts.
Follow client CAD Drawing Production Standards to ensure consistency and quality across deliverables.
Work effectively within a project team, contributing to a professional and collaborative office environment.
Adhere to company health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe workplace for yourself and colleagues.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in CAD drafting or a related field.
Solid understanding of CAD drafting principles and practices.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
Up to two years of CAD drafting experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation. Relevant training certifications may substitute for up to two years of experience.
Experience with CADWorx and Plant3D is a strong advantage but not required..
