Job Title: Process Piping Designer

Job Description:
The primary role will be to serve as one of our CAD/BIM Coordinator Leads on various northeast water and wastewater projects. The successful candidate shall demonstrate experience creating Process Mechanical designs for water and/or wastewater projects. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for creating visualization materials, in support of project or pursuit presentations. This will be accomplished using a range of tools from traditional renderings to more advanced Virtual reality walkthroughs or construction simulations.

Position responsibilities will include:

•    Create Process Mechanical Revit models and associated views.

•    Ensure Process Mechanical models meet Hazen design standards.

•    Ensure compliance with the Hazen’s and/or client CADBIM standards.

•    Coordinate model changes with other disciplines providing solutions to conflicts.

•    Perform clash detection at submittal milestones and coordinate clash resolutions.

•    Supervise and coordination with project discipline leads on all design submittals.

•    Lead or support project and pursuit Visualization assignments.

Required or Desired Skills and Experience:

•    6-10 years of MEP design experience required.

•    4-5 years of Process Mechanical Revit experience preferred.

•    Advanced Revit modeling skills required and experience with ReCap desirable.

•    4-year Engineering degree preferred, 4-year Architectural degree acceptable.

•    Engineering/Architectural Technology Associates degree will be considered.

•    Self-starter with attention to detail and experience collaborating across disciplines.

•    Strong communication and leadership skills are expected for this position.

•    Thorough knowledge of Process Mechanical systems related to water and/or wastewater treatment (equipment, piping, valves, and accessories) is desirable.

•    Familiarity with mechanical piping codes and standards (Ductile Iron, Steel, SS, PVC, CPVC pipe, fittings, and associated appurtenances) is desirable.

•    Working Knowledge of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) is desirable.

•    Experience with Visualization software (3DS Max, Enscape, Lumion, etc.) desirable.
