Program Manager (Agile)
This Program Manager position will typically be responsible for leading large programs or large complex projects (up to $10M) that span multiple systems and business areas. This role will plan delivery, organize teams, manage scope, budget, and schedule,
Essential Functions:
- Facilitate all activities related to standing up and running large complex initiatives from inception to closure; this includes, building a charter, communicating resource requirements and ensuring proper governance among other activities
- Identify, monitor and manage project/program risks and issues in a timely and unbiased manner; follow governance standards for escalating to right levels at the right time
- Provide transparent reporting and metrics on project/program health (scope, schedule and budget), and support all communications related to project delivery process
- Lead, mentor, and support delivery teams in your role as an Agile Program Manager; shield team from external distractions, run interference, etc.
- Collaborate with other functions (governance and change enablement) to ensure consistency, compliance and user adoptions
- Drive initiatives from both a tactical and strategic perspective, and manage interdependencies
- Develop and manage project/program budgets - track, collate and analyze planned vs actual values for time and cost; take corrective/preventive actions as warranted
- Capture, publish and refresh project/program records (as appropriate), such as key decisions and action items, meeting minutes, risks and issues
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university (Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related discipline)
- 7-10 yrs. of combined Agile and Waterfall delivery experience, with direct accountability for budgets, scope, schedule, and quality; significant Agile experience, preferred.
- Experience leading projects/programs in application development, infrastructure implementations and/or systems integration
- Proven experience in project management processes and execution, as well as the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for Waterfall and Agile
- Proven record of leading and influencing team members in a matrix organization, and ability to identify and resolve project risks and issues effectively
- Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems integration and vendor management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in utilizing productivity/collaboration tools (such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft SharePoint)

• Advanced project management education / professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, SAFe, PMI-ACP), preferred
• Transportation industry experience
• Experience using Planview and/or Version One
